Image Search & Selection Upgrades

What is new

• Search anywhere: Google Images, Google Maps photos, Pexels, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, TripAdvisor, and Wikimedia with aspect ratio filters.
• Three selection modes: smart AI, no-duplicates, and text-only.

Choose the right selection mode

• Smart AI selection (default): best overall quality and speed for most posts.
• AI selection, no duplicates: slower but guarantees unique images per item; use for listicles.
• No images (text only): skip images to save credits or add your own later.

Tune the search

• Image search mode: item-query (default), main-topic-plus-title, main-subject-only (reuses one search across items), or item-title-only for tighter queries.
• Search engine & aspect ratio: pick the source (Google, Google Maps, Pexels, Pinterest/Reddit/Instagram, YouTube, Shutterstock, Wikimedia, TripAdvisor) and keep All ratios for maximum results.
• Custom instructions: add quick guardrails (for example, "Exterior shots only" or "Avoid food close-ups").

How to run it

1. Open your article, then click Add to queue to open Image Search Settings.
2. Pick search engine, search mode, aspect ratio, and selection mode. Add custom instructions if needed.
3. Queue the article; the run will use the settings you chose.

Example: Google Maps, single place

• Title: This Myrtle Beach BBQ Spot Serves Smoky Meats and Southern Charm That Keep Travelers Talking
• In the generate form: Model GPT-5, Google Maps on, Place Name Swig & Swine Myrtle Beach, Search off, leave item length empty.
• Image Search Settings:
  • Image Search Mode: main-subject-only (reuses the place query for every item).
  • Search Engine: Google Maps (storefront and interior shots tied to the place).
  • Aspect Ratio: All ratios (broadest pool; crop later if needed).
  • Selection Mode: AI selection (no duplicates) (slower but one-of-a-kind images per item).
• If you need speed, switch to Smart AI selection;

Example: travel roundup, many places

• Title: 13 Hidden Ohio Towns That Look Exactly Like Your Thanksgiving Movie Dreams
• In the generate form: Google Maps off (no single place), set your item count and model as usual.
• Image Search Settings:
  • Image Search Mode: item-title-only (each town name is its own query).
  • Search Engine: Google Maps (real town imagery and main streets).
  • Aspect Ratio: All ratios.
  • Selection Mode: Smart AI selection (fast, good balance for multi-town lists).
• Turn on AI selection (no duplicates) if you see repeats;
