Manual and Autopilot Modes

Manual and Autopilot use the same research, writing, image, publishing, and learning pipeline. The difference is whether a person must approve each new draft.

Manual mode

In Manual mode, every generated draft stops at Review.

Use Manual when:

• The automation is new.
• Editorial judgment or compliance review is required.
• You are testing a new topic source, article type, prompt, image style, or caption strategy.
• Local-news identity, location, or image choices need human verification.

At Review you can:

• Change the social image template, style, or source image.
• Open the image in the full editor for free-form changes.
• Edit or regenerate the Facebook caption.
• Edit the first comment.
• Approve and publish the draft.
• Reject the draft so it does not publish.

Approved drafts use the next free WordPress slot. If the run also targets Facebook, the post is queued through Strevio after the WordPress article is ready.

Autopilot mode

In Autopilot mode, scheduled runs do not wait for review. Confleko works ahead of the next free WordPress slot, publishes the article, and queues configured Facebook posts.

Use Autopilot when:

• You have reviewed enough successful runs to trust the configuration.
• The topic source is dependable.
• The posting schedule and destinations have been verified.
• Article and image settings produce consistently usable output.
• Someone will still monitor failures, credits, and performance.

Autopilot does not remove your controls. You can use Run now, open run details and logs, edit the automation, or pause it at any time.

Recommended rollout

1. Start in Manual mode.
2. Approve several runs across every enabled article type.
3. Verify WordPress scheduling and every selected Facebook page.
4. Review early performance in Analytics and remove weak topic or presentation choices.
5. Switch the automation to Autopilot.
6. Check On your desk and failed runs regularly.

Run now in either mode

Run now starts work immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled dispatch.

You can:

• Select one or more approved topics to start one run per topic.
• Enter a custom title.
• Leave the title empty so research creates a topic from the automation's sources and learnings.

In Manual mode, each of these runs stops at Review. In Autopilot, each run continues into its next available WordPress slot.

Pause and resume

Select Pause when you need to stop new work while you adjust connections, schedules, credits, or content settings. Resume the automation after the issue is fixed.

Pausing does not erase the automation, its run history, topics, analytics, learnings, or playbooks.

Autopilot is automatically paused after three consecutive failed runs since its last edit or reactivation. Investigate the latest failed run before resuming it.
